In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Icelandic stamp, Pósturinn is issuing four new stamps this year. The first Icelandic stamps, known as shilling stamps, were released in 1873. The release date is today, August 23, 2023. For the occasion, Pósturinn has created a mini sheet with four self-adhesive stamps that are each worth 50g and 100g and may be used for correspondence both inside and outside of Europe.
